Donors’ generosity leads to $1.2 million in MU Engineering scholarships

The MU College of Engineering’s annual Scholarship Dinner was held Oct. 27 to honor the College’s generous donors and outstanding students. The College of Engineering awarded more than $1.2 million to more than 540 students this year thanks to the support of its donors. Guest speakers included College of Engineering Dean Elizabeth Loboa and Paul Chan, interim chair of the Chemical Engineering Department. Chan was the featured donor speaker and shared the story of his scholarship’s creation.

Abbigale Brinkhorst, a senior in mechanical engineering and scholarship recipient, spoke about her involvement in various organizations in the College, the internships she has held over three different summers, and how meaningful the support she has received through scholarships has been to her.
