The University of Missouri team of computer science undergraduates Mohammed Ferris Dweik and Christian Cmehil-Warn, alongside Elijah Sharpe of Lincoln University, beat out teams from Washington University in St. Louis, Saint Louis University and the University of Missouri-St. Louis to take first place in the Booz Allen Hamilton “Rate Your Wait” hackathon.

Mizzou SEDS rockets to first place in competition

The Mizzou chapter of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) took home first place among 12 schools in the University Student Rocket Challenge at SEDS’ annual conference, SpaceVision2016. This year’s event was held at Purdue University the first weekend in November.

Transcription app earns students seat at Silicon Valley table

Recordly, a mobile service that allows journalists to use the Apple Watch to transcribe, track and highlight interviews recorded on their iPhones, won the ninth edition of the annual competition that partners students from the College of Engineering and School of Journalism as well as some students from the College of Business to create innovative new iOS applications.

Civil engineering grad student earns top marks in paper competition

Amirhossein Khezerzadeh will present his preliminary research at an expenses paid trip to the annual Transportation Review Board meeting in January in Washington, D.C. In addition, he will have the opportunity to publish his final findings in the July edition of TRB’s journal, Transportation Research Circular.
