Breipohl family gives teaching fellowships a helping hand

On a recent visit to the College of Engineering, alumnus Art Breipohl and his wife Shirley were so impressed with the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department’s teaching fellowship program, they made a gift to the department to fund a fifth fellow for this academic year.

Third round of Coulter Program-funded biomedical research projects announced

Six grants totaling approximately $600,000 were awarded Sept. 30 to interdisciplinary teams comprised of an engineering faculty member and clinicians. The funding comes from the University of Missouri’s Coulter Translational Partnership Program.

NSF grants boost Big Data capabilities at MU

The National Science Foundation grants received by Prasad Calyam and Chi-Ren Shyu total more than $1 million toward creating a secure hybrid cloud network that will lessen the need for researchers to rely on supercomputer data centers to process their data.
