High School Competition Day
Students can participate in three different challenging competitions: Egg Catapult, Wood Bridge or new this year, the Homopolar Racer. The winning teams in each category will receive trophies, and the individuals on those teams will receive scholarships to attend the College of Engineering at the University of Missouri. The competition is free of charge, and lunch will be provided.
While on campus, students and teachers will have the opportunity to participate in campus tours, check out our engineering labs, observe team design projects and interact with students and faculty.
We will accept an unlimited number of entries in the wood bridge and egg catapult competitions, but, in the interest of time, only 12 teams will proceed to the second phase of the competitions (oral presentation).
