About

Collaborating Lab Logos

The Computational Neurobiology Group is engaged in collaborative research that explores aspects of functioning of both invertebrate and vertebrate brains. Based at the University of Missouri (MU), a campus that provides an interdisciplinary research environment, we collaborate with the following labs both at MU and abroad:

Nair Lab

Student Opportunity

The group employs graduate and undergraduate students, and post-docs to work on computational modeling research, in close collaboration with neuroscientists:

  • cellular level: neural correlates of fear and extinction memories
  • cellular level: preservation of neuronal and network function in ganglions
  • celullar level: neuroadaptations in the PFC-NAc perisynapse due to cocaine
  • intra-cellular level: LTP/LTD in the accumbal PSD due to cocaine
  • behavioral level: emergent anti-predator behavior in a colony of insects
