Linsey M. Barker is an assistant professor in the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering at the University of Missouri. Current research interests focus on improving patient and provider safety and overall quality of care within healthcare systems. Barker also has experience related to the development of assistive technologies; the development, integration, and evaluation of telerehabilitation and home health technologies in the provision of clinical care; and conducting ergonomic evaluations of medical devices. Previously, she worked as a research engineer at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, DC. She is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES), the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), and the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE).
