Tom E. Clevenger is a professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Missouri. Clevenger also serves as director of the Missouri Water Resources Research Center, a federally funded organization that seeks to develop and use advanced technologies to solve water-related environmental and health problems. He has established the first American environmental technology office in China with a grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce, providing educational and training resources to those interested in advanced American technologies. Clevenger’s research has been funded by the Electric Power Research Institute, the U.S. Marine Corp-Quantico, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of the Interior and the U.S. Geological Survey.
