Robert Reed is a research associate professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Missouri. Reed has more than 40 years experience in government, industry, consulting and academia. He has worked in water treatment and supply, wastewater treatment, treatment plant operations, storm water management, air pollution control and municipal engineering. His engineering practice includes project development and financing, design, and construction phase engineering. His research includes water treatment and distribution chemistry and microbiology, wastewater treatment, wetlands, applications of satellite remote sensing to resource management and energy efficiency in industry including water and wastewater utilities.
