Bin Wu is a professor in the Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering Department at the University of Missouri, and director of the Missouri Industrial Assessment Center. Wu is an internationally recognized expert in the design and management of manufacturing and supply systems, and has written a number of highly influential books on the subject that have become widely adopted as standard undergraduate and postgraduate texts worldwide. Wu has been the recipient of numerous awards and established the International Journal of Manufacturing System Design, acting as its editor-in-chief since 1996. His research has been funded by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, the Kauffman Foundation, the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Energy. He is a registered professional engineer in Missouri.
