Ismail Akturk Assistant Professor

Ismail Akturk is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at the University of Missouri, Columbia. He received Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. He holds M.S. in Computer Engineering and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Bilkent University and Louisiana State University, respectively. His research interests include computer architecture, improving energy efficiency, scalability and fault tolerance of computing systems, and unconventional computing paradigms, such as brain-inspired/neuromorphic computing. His work spans multiple subdisciples of Computer Science/Engineering, including programming languages, compilers, digital design, computer organization, storage systems, distributed systems and networking.
