Matthew Klaric is an assistant research professor at the Center for Geospatial Intelligence (CGI) and the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Missouri. The CGI is an interdisciplinary center that focuses on geospatial intelligence needs critical for national security, homeland defense and military combat support. He has participated in projects sponsored by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Leonard Wood Institute. His research interests include image analysis, remote sensing, content-based retrieval and pattern recognition. Klaric is a founding member of two start-up companies that seek to commercialize geospatial-intelligence-related research performed at MU.
