Sabiha Naz Associate Teaching Professor

Sabiha Naz is an associate teaching professor in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department and the Nuclear Engineering Program at the University of Missouri. Her current research includes computer simulations (criticality calculations) for a radioisotope generating system to provide a base line estimate of a safe amount of uranium to prevent criticality and photo-neutron generation in uranium-heavy water systems using Monte Carlo simulations. Her past research has been funded by Nuclear Engineering Education Research and a Department of Energy INIE grant. Naz’s awards and honors include the Exceptional Contribution Award and the Special Service Award, both from the Air Force Research Lab.
