Center for Molecular and Cellular Engineering
The Center for Molecular and Cellular Engineering is led by Kevin Gillis, a professor of biological engineering who conducts research at the University of Missouri’s Dalton Cardiovascular Research Center.
The primary thrust of the center’s research is on developing and using engineering approaches to solve medically related problems at the molecular and cellular level. Center members work to develop new devices and engineering analytical approaches to apply them towards understanding basic problems in the biomedical sciences and in creating useful products.
An important goal of the center is to promote interactions between engineering faculty and the biomedical research community on campus.
