The Women in Engineering Center facilitates regular collaboration among women in engineering focused organizations on campus. Once a month, Alpha Omega Epsilon, oSTEM, Society of Women Engineers and Mizzou Women Mentoring Women meet to discuss ways to work support women in the College of Engineering.
Alpha Omega Epsilon – Beta Zeta Chapter
Alpha Omega Epsilon is a professional and social sorority composed of women in engineering and technical sciences. The organization promotes friendship, leadership, and professionalism to all members of the organization, the community and engineering professions.
oSTEM is a national society dedicated to educating and fostering leadership for LGBTQA communities in STEM fields. The organization works to create a world in which all members of the STEM community can pursue their work in a safe and supportive environment that celebrates their contributions and differences.
Society of Women Engineers
The Society of Women Engineers is an international organization for women and men in all engineering disciplines. The purpose of SWE is to promote diversity in technical fields by encouraging women to pursue careers in engineering. SWE meets twice a month on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. in E1419 Lafferre Hall and plans outreach events including Girl Scout Day and the SWE Green Tea. Membership is free to all students.
Mizzou Women Mentoring Women
Mizzou Women Mentoring Women is a mentoring program that provides a strong support network for women engineering students. Mizzou Women Mentoring Women is an opportunity to mentor an underclasswoman, attend social events, complete service work and meet new friends.
