Senior’s biomaterials work featured in Mizzou Magazine
Marcos Barcellona, a senior majoring in bioengineering, was the subject of a piece in the most recent edition of Mizzou Magazine, the publication of the MU Alumni Association. His work in the lab of chemical engineering Assistant Professor Matthew Bernards was highlighted. “His current project is a hydrogel membrane surgeons could implant directly on a tumor, where it would act as a slow-release capsule for chemotherapy,” the story said.
