MU team takes first place at regional hackathon
The University of Missouri team of electrical engineering and computer science undergraduates Mohammed Ferris Dweik and Christian Cmehil-Warn, alongside Elijah Sharpe of Lincoln University, beat out teams from Washington University in St. Louis, Saint Louis University and the University of Missouri-St. Louis to take first place in the Booz Allen Hamilton “Rate Your Wait” hackathon.
Judges cited the team’s innovative solution and the professional presenting skills of Dweik for MU’s victory. Judges for the event came from Booz Allen Hamilton, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and GlobalHack.
