The University of Missouri’s six week-long King Abdulaziz University Internship for Engineering Students saw 24 students from King Abdulaziz University (KAU) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, come to Columbia to learn and work on real-world engineering projects.

The students — many from Missouri but some from as far away as Washington — heard presentations from each of the College’s departments and worked on hands-on projects designed to give students a taste of what each discipline specializes in.
Hani Salim, associate dean of academic programs and C.W. LaPierre Professor of civil and environmental engineering, will be one of four participants from MU in the Southeastern Conference Academic Leadership Development Program.
