MU Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering undergraduate Mark Korol maximized his engineering and leadership skills this summer, landing a reactor oprerations internship with the MU Research Reactor. Learn a little more about his internship in his own words.

Korol:MURR gives a lot of opportunities for undergraduate students to learn and succeed in professional environments. Not only did I learn more about mechanical and fluid systems but I also learned nuclear physics, reactor theory, electric and instrumentation systems, and the interdisciplinary aspect of engineering design. I also gained valuable experience in the symbiotic relationship between engineers and technicians.

Learn more about how The Engineering Leadership, Engagement and Career Development Academy can help students prepare for their future. And check back throughout the summer for more stories about how internships helped shape Mizzou engineers for success!
