CEE STEM Scholarships
Undergraduate STEM Scholarships
Personalized support for eight foundational courses (Gateway 8) during freshman and sophomore years
Selection based on merit and financial need
Selected incoming civil and environmental engineering (CEE) freshmen to receive $8,500 in STEM scholarship
Renewable to $9,000 for the sophomore year on satisfactory performance
STEM Scholar Selection Criteria
- Incoming freshman CEE major
- Evidence of academic qualifications (e.g. 3.0 high school GPA, ACT score of 26 or higher)
- Demonstration of financial need
- Must be US citizen or permanent resident

Scholarship awardees will join S-STEM scholars in civil engineering cohort and participate in Gateway 8 course support, student success seminars, MU Connect forum, CEE student clubs, workforce development activities, peer learning groups, and have the opportunity to participate in Smart, Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure research.
