The Fall 2016 University of Missouri College of Engineering Career Fair, held Sept. 13 at Mizzou Arena, proved to be a record-setting success. A total of 190 companies participated in the event, topping the previous record of 175.
MU hires College’s international outreach coordinator to direct campus international STEM, engineering program
Miguel Ayllon, the College of Engineering’s international outreach coordinator, was recently named the director of international engineering and STEM programs for MU.
Ayllon was one of 10 MU faculty and staff members to receive a 2016 Excellence in Education Award from MU Student Affairs and the Parent Leadership Council in April.
The two published papers collectively show that three common textile creation methods can produce effective scaffolds that retain biomimetic behavior, allowing for mechanical properties that closely mirror native tissue.
Elizabeth Loboa was announced as a member of the 2016 class elected to the AIMBE College of Fellows, and she will be formally inducted into the College of Fellows during AIMBE’s annual event in April in Washington, D.C.
Elizabeth Loboa, the dean of the College of Engineering, recently announced the appointment of three faculty members to new leadership positions — Sheila Grant, Hani Salim and Cerry Klein. Associate Dean Steve Devlin also will continue in his role.
