Barbara DeMaire decided that the perfect Christmas gift to her husband Doug would be a scholarship in his name to the MU Industrial Engineering Department, where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
In May, the University of Missouri formally recognized the MU College of Engineering (UMCOE) Foundation as an affiliated 501(c)(3) organization, after approval from the Chancellor’s Office and the University Board of Curators. The affiliation status allows UMCOE Foundation to accept and act as stewards of gifts to MU Engineering with University partnership.
A company without operational support won’t succeed and the same is true for Mizzou. It’s through annual giving that MU has the ability to do more, and be more, year after year.
