Camp COE is an exciting experience for incoming engineering students at Mizzou. Here’s a bit more about what to expect from the experience.

What does COE stand for? COE stands for College of Engineering.

What is Camp COE? Camp COE serves as a student led avenue that will welcome and pass on COE traditions and values while creating a universally accepting support system in an environment that helps build relationships.

Who can attend Camp COE? Any incoming COE students are welcome to attend.

When is Camp COE?  August 23rd through August 25th.

Where is the camp located? Camp COE will be held 2 hours from Columbia at the Trout Lodge. While there, you will stay in cabins.

What kind of amenities can I expect at Camp COE? Each cabin has two bedrooms/bathrooms, a screened in porch, kitchenette and a fireplace. For more details on the amenities at Trout Lodge, download the PDF here.

How long does Camp COE last? Camp COE will be a two-day whirlwind filled with opportunities of meeting new friends, completing team-building activities and most of all just having fun!

Why should I participate in Camp COE? Camp COE will give students the opportunity to meet other students and faculty/staff in a safe, relaxed and fun atmosphere.

What activities does Camp COE provide? Trout Lodge hosts activities such as an inflatable trampoline, zip line, multiple ropes course, climbing wall, paintball, Tom-a-Hawk throwing, and many more. Additionally there is a lake with canoeing, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding.

How much money does Camp COE cost? Camp COE will be free to the first 170 incoming students who wish to attend.

How do I get to Camp COE? COE will provide bus transportation to and from the camp to give you the full camping experience.

How do I register? To register for Camp COE please fill out the form here.

How can I get involved in Camp COE? Enjoy your experience as a camper! If you absolutely love it, we ask that you come back next year and become either a camp director or counselor.

What should I bring?

In order to enjoy Camp COE to the fullest, here are a few things to consider bringing:

  • Clothing for a 2-night trip (camp T-shirts are provided)
  • Tennis Shoes/Hiking Shoes (closed-toed)
  • Flashlight
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Shower shoes
  • Swimsuit & towel
  • Toiletries (body wash, shampoo, toothpaste, shaving cream)
  • Bed & bath linens will be provided! (However, an extra towel is never a bad idea!)
  • Approved Medications:
    • Prescribed by a doctor (in original bottle)
    • OTC pain or allergy medication
  • Rain gear (Hopefully you won’t need it!)
  • Water bottle!
