China IT 4001: Mobile VR/AR Development

Program open to engineering majors, other STEM majors, and UM System students
Join MU Engineering professor Fang Wang for Mobile VR/AR Development this summer in Shanghai! In addition to the campus culture at the East China University of Science and Technology and surrounding area, there will be company visits, tours and activities planned to fit around your class schedule, such as martial arts classes, Shanghai tour and river cruise, and weekend excursions to nearby cities.
All classes are taught in English.
Students must be in Shanghai no later than Sunday, June 2nd for check-in and orientation and students can depart accommodations on Saturday, June 29th.
*Students will be required to attend 1-2 pre-departure classes covering some course material, safety, packing, and other travel requirements.
- Welcome and farewell dinners
- Cultural excursions and activities, including Shanghai river cruise, martial arts workshop, Mandarin lessons, and weekend trips to cities just outside of Shanghai
Shared dorm apartments at ECUST in Shanghai, with hotels and hostels during weekend excursions.

Program Fee: $3,300*
*Includes on-site support, housing, international health insurance, Engineering Study Abroad fees, International Center fees, cultural excursions, program-related transportation, partner university lectures, company visits and some meals.

The given amounts are estimated costs based on current exchange rates and on the information provided to us by your host program or institution.

Financial Aid packages are typically granted in the form of low-interest student loans that cover all trip related expenses (tuition, fees, accommodations, activities and personal expenses)
To be considered for aid, you must:
- Be enrolled in a study abroad trip
- Complete your financial aid worksheet with your study abroad advisor
- Take the sheet to Student Financial Aid in 11 Jesse Hall to meet with a financial aid advisor (no appointment necessary or an appointment can be made through MU Connect).
If you are awarded financial aid for study abroad, it will be applied to your MU account according to the regular financial aid disbursement schedule.
