Two outstanding alumni, three brilliant faculty members and a pair of dedicated staff members were honored with top awards at the MU College of Engineering Awards Banquet on March 17 in Columbia.
MU Engineering hosts the Midwest Industrial Assessment Center, one of 28 such centers located on college campuses nationwide. The DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy allotted $35 million in funding to the centers, with MU earning a nearly $1.5 million share.
The 4th Annual International Field-Reversible Thermal Connector [RevCon] Challenge, sponsored by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency [DARPA], was held Oct. 23 at the Reynolds Journalism Institute and Lafferre Hall on the campus of the University of Missouri.

Yuyi Lin, an associate professor in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department, recently was named an American Society of Mechanical Engineers fellow, the organization’s highest membership grade.
