Get involved! Mizzou Engineers have almost 50 student organizations to pursue interests and connect with fellow students.

Competition Teams
  • Chem-E-Car Team
    • Students design and build a small vehicle powered and controlled entirely by chemical reactions to compete in regional and national AIChE competitions.
  • Chem-E Jeopardy
    • A team-based academic competition where chemical engineering students test their knowledge of core engineering concepts in a quiz-bowl format.
  • Concrete Canoe Team
    • Students design, construct and race a canoe made from concrete while applying civil engineering principles in ASCE competitions.
  • Society of Automotive Engineers (Formula Car Racing Team)
    • Members design, manufacture and race a formula-style vehicle in Formula SAE competitions.
  • Mizzou Baja Racing
    • A multidisciplinary team that designs and builds an off-road vehicle for Baja SAE competitions.
  • Mizzou Electric Racing
    • Students develop an electric-powered race car while exploring battery systems, controls and sustainable transportation technologies.
  • Mizzou Space Program
    • Students collaborate on aerospace and spaceflight projects, including rocketry and spacecraft systems.
  • Mizzou Students Underwater Robotics Foundation (SURF)
    • SURF designs and operates underwater robotic vehicles for engineering competitions and exploration challenges.
  • Steel Bridge Team
    • Students design, fabricate and construct a scale steel bridge for regional and national competitions.
  • Quarter Scale Tractor Pulling Team (Torq’ N Tigers Tractor Pulling Team)
    • Members design and build a quarter-scale tractor that competes in national pulling competitions.
  • IMPACT (Initiative for Medical Prototyping and Applied Concept Translation)
    • A hands-on design team that develops medical devices and healthcare solutions through engineering prototyping.
General Interest
  • Alpha Omega Epsilon Sorority
    • A professional and social sorority founded in 1983 that promotes friendship, leadership and professionalism to all members of the organization, the community and our professions.
  • Develop[HER]
    • Supports a wide variety of students in technology and engineering through mentorship, networking and professional development.
  • Engineers’ Club (E-Week) / St. Pat’s Board (SPB)
    • Organizes major engineering traditions like Engineers’ Week, events and celebrations that build community across the college. 
  • Engineers Without Borders
    • Partners with communities to develop sustainable engineering solutions to real-world challenges. 
  • Mizzou 3D Printing Club
    • Explores additive manufacturing through workshops, projects and hands-on design experience.
  • Mizzou Engineering Student Council (MESC)
    • Represents engineering students and supports outreach, leadership and student engagement initiatives.
  • MU Robotics
    • Students design, build and program robotic systems while developing technical and teamwork skills. 
  • National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)
    • An organization open to all students that supports academic success, professional development and leadership while advancing Black excellence in engineering.
  • The Shamrock
    • Preserves and promotes Mizzou Engineering traditions, spirit and community engagement.
  • Sigma Phi Delta
    • A professional-social fraternity focused on scholarship, leadership and professional growth.
  • Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS)
    • An organization open to all students that promotes academic success and professional development in STEM while supporting the participation of Chicanos and Native Americans.
  • Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE)
    • Open to students of all backgrounds, SASE fosters leadership, professional growth and community while celebrating the contributions of Asian scientists and engineers.
  • Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)
    • Welcomes students of all backgrounds while promoting Hispanic leadership and achievement in STEM through mentorship, networking and career development opportunities.
