Biography
John J. Bowders is a professor emeritus in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Missouri. Before his current appointment, Bowders worked in the civil engineering department of the University of Texas at Austin for three years and served on the faculty at West Virginia University (WVU) for nine years. During his tenure at WVU, Bowders was an on-site adviser to the U.S. Army Research Office’s terrestrial sciences program. He is a registered professional engineer in Missouri and West Virginia.
