Biography
Zheng Yan is a Cramer W. LaPierre Professor and an associate professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Missouri. He earned his Ph.D. from Rice University in 2013 and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign before joining the University of Missouri in 2017. His research advances soft materials and bioelectronic systems for precision healthcare, with machine learning–powered innovations spanning porous biointerface development, multimodal biosensing for health assessment, and biosensing-guided adaptive therapy. Yan is a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award, the University of Missouri System President’s Award for Early Career Excellence, and the Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Research and Creative Activity.
