Biography
Zheng Yan is a Cramer W. LaPierre Professor and associate professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering. He received his PhD from Rice University (2009-2013) and completed postdoc training at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2013-2017) before joining the faculty of the University of Missouri. His research focuses on AI-driven innovations in soft materials and bioelectronics for precision health, spanning fundamental materials development, intelligent bioelectronic systems, and advanced healthcare applications. Yan is a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award, the University of Missouri System President’s Award for Early Career Excellence, and the Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Research and Creative Activity.
