Where did you complete your undergraduate study?
University of Missouri

Why did you choose Mizzou for your graduate program?
I love the culture here at Mizzou and had a very enjoyable experience here during my undergraduate degree program. The IMSE department here has a great faculty and staff in place who do a great job getting students involved in research and other extracurricular activities.

Tell us about your graduate research.  What are some potential outcomes or applications?
I have been working on an industry-based research project through CELDi with Boeing Defense Space and Security. We have been using data-driven techniques to optimize Boeing’s inventory policy. This has included using alternative methods to calculate safety stock values as well as forecasting for future demand. The goal of the project is to allow Boeing to obtain high service levels while simultaneously keeping inventory costs low. I’m very thankful that Mizzou’s IMSE department has given me the opportunity to participate in this project. It has equipped me with some real-world experience in dealing with today’s supply chain problems while also allowing me to make connections and score an internship with The Boeing Company.

What are some accomplishments you’ve achieved at Mizzou that you’re especially proud of?
During my time at Mizzou I have had the honor to accept the IMSE Outstanding Junior Student Award, attend and present a research project at the IISE South Central regional conference two years in a row (2019, 2020), and accept a graduate research assistantship with the Boeing CELDi project

What do you hope to do after you complete your degree?
After completing my degree program I hope to land a supply chain engineering related role at a great company.
