Mizzou Engineering Professor Dominic K.C. Ho has been elected to the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE).

Ho, a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), is an international leader in statistical signal processing and wireless communications. His research into target localization is employed in landmine localization, in-home health care and environmental monitors all over the world.
“Dr. Ho’s impressive accomplishments and leadership in his field have significantly advanced engineering around the world,” Syed Kamrul Islam, EECS chair, said. “His outstanding contributions and dedication to excellence serve as an inspiration to engineers everywhere.”
For nearly two decades, Ho sat on the United Nations committee setting standards in international wireless communications. He was also on the editorial board of several prestigious international technical journals.
The CAE will induct 50 new fellows and seven new international fellows May 27 at its annual general meeting.
CAE fellows, who have made outstanding contributions to engineering, provide strategic advice on matters of critical importance to Canada and to Canadians. Fellows are nominated and elected by their peers, in view of their distinguished achievements and career-long service.
