The Mizzou Engineering Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) inducted 11 new members to its Hall of Fame Oct. 30.

The ISE Hall of Fame recognizes alumni whose careers have made a lasting impact on their professions, organizations and communities, ISE Chair Jim Noble said, adding that this year’s inductees reflect the many paths an IE degree can open and the remarkable ways Mizzou Engineering graduates put their education to work.

“Each of our inductees has built an exceptional career, demonstrating the versatility, leadership and problem-solving that define industrial and systems engineering,” he said.

Dan Abney, BSIE ’92, began his career with Nordyne Incorporated and later joined Maxion Wheels, advancing through leadership roles in operational excellence, manufacturing and materials management. He later held senior leadership roles with Gardner Denver and Ingersoll Rand before ultimately joining Walsworth as director of supply chain in 2024.

Nichole Alfonsi, BSIE ’09, MBA ’10, is a global business leader who applies an engineering mindset to complex problems, business growth and organizational effectiveness. As a managing director with Deloitte and Deloitte’s global operate sales leader, she leads sales enablement and growth efforts for the firm’s managed services business.

John Cruise, BSIE ’93, has built a career in finance, analytics and supply chain management. As vice president of finance at JPMorgan Chase, he leads a team developing business cases for technology and AI investments. He previously worked in technology sourcing and financial analysis at American Airlines and as a senior supplier management representative at Boeing.

Wade Foster, BSIE ’09, MBA ’10, is co-founder and CEO of Zapier, an AI orchestration platform connecting more than 3 million companies across more than 9,000 apps. Since founding the company in 2011 after developing the idea at Missouri StartUp Weekend, he has helped grow Zapier into a fully remote company with more than 700 employees across 40 countries.

Danielle Goold, BSIE ’08, has built a career in process engineering and product operations, applying her industrial engineering training to complex challenges in financial services and e-commerce. She began her career at Schreiber Foods before joining American Express, where she is currently vice president of global partner oversight and operations.

Daniel Krupp, BSIE ’84, arrived at Mizzou as a first-generation college student supported by a work-study scholarship. After graduating, he joined McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, now Boeing. He expanded his manufacturing experience over three decades and advanced from sales engineer to president of Universal Air Filter Company. Retired, he is now a nonprofit leader.

Emmett Lodree, MSIE ’99, PhD ’01, is executive director of academic partnerships for the University of Alabama Graduate School and Professor of Operations Management in the Culverhouse College of Business. His research applies operations research and management science to problems that affect communities and quality of life.

Kristin Murray, BSIE ’08, MBA ’09, is chief of staff for nuclear weapon programs at the Kansas City National Security Campus. She supports the vice president of the programs across the portfolio, helping maintain continuity of strategy, strengthen cross-program coordination and communication, drive strategic initiatives and advance operational excellence.

Allyson Prewett, BSIE ’06, is a strategic leader whose 20-year career has focused on process improvement, operational excellence and large-scale organizational change. Today, she serves as vice president of strategic programs at Scholastic, where she leads a team responsible for enterprise change and the organization’s most complex strategic programs.

John Tierney, BSIE ’86, has enjoyed a career focused on operational excellence, systems transformation and long-term client success. After successful stints at Arthur Andersen and other companies, he helped build AXIA Consulting. AXIA was acquired by Huron Consulting Services, and Tierny is now managing director in Huron’s digital transformation services practice.

William “Bill” Vickroy, BSIE ’83, recently retired as director of international development for Lockheed Martin’s missiles and fire control business area. He led a team responsible for developing, managing and executing industrial participation and offset programs supporting international sales, from the capture phase through program execution and contract close.

“For our students, these inductees’ stories provide a glimpse of what is possible,” Noble said. “The experiences, accomplishments and leadership represented in this year’s class show that there is no single path to success in industrial and systems engineering.”
