Mechanical engineers research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices. Mechanical engineering is one of the broadest engineering disciplines.
Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Is one of six academic departments within the College of Engineering at the University of Missouri. Established in 1891, this ABET-accredited program is home to more than 800 students and 30 world-class faculty members, boasting two undergraduate degree programs, three graduate degree programs and a graduate certificate.
The University of Missouri is one of just 34 public institutions to be a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU) and is the state’s only public Tier 1 research university.
