Biography
Jaya is the Program Director of the MU Coulter Biomedical Accelerator, Lead Program Manager of the Midwest Biomedical Accelerator Consortium (MBArC) and an Adjunct Faculty of the Trulaske College of Business. She is also a Program Manager for the NIH Concept to Clinic: Commercializing Innovation (C3i) Program. Coulter and MBArC bridge the gap between academic research and industry by accelerating the translation of biomedical innovations into products that improve patient care. As Director and Lead Program Manager, Jaya is responsible for managing all processes associated with selection, review, de-risking, funding and tracking of Coulter and MBArC projects. She also teaches the Coulter/MBArC Business Boot Camp. MANGMT 8200: Commercialization of Life Science Innovations, taught by Jaya and offered in conjunction with the Boot Camp, is designed to provide students with experiential learning in biomedical innovation and entrepreneurship. During this course, students work hand-in-hand with translational project teams to develop commercialization plans for their innovative technologies.
