Biography
Vijay Gupta is an assistant teaching professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Missouri. His teaching skills were recognized by receiving the Graduate Teaching Assistant Award at Washington University in Saint Louis. During his doctoral research, he worked on a project on Polymeric Induced Turbulent Drag Reduction sponsored by DARPA. Thereafter, his post-doctoral research at UMBC focused on the area of Biomedical Engineering specializing in Cellular Adhesion and Chemotaxis sponsored by NIH. His research has led to 20 peer-reviewed publications. He serves as a reviewer for Physical Review Letters, Physical Review E, Biophysical Journal, Physics of Fluids and Journal of Biological Systems.
