Join the Mizzou Alumni Association

MUEAO

Members of the MU College of Engineering’s alumni organization (MUEAO) board meet twice each year to plan activities and events in support of the college.

One of their primary functions is to select candidates for the College’s annual Citation of Merit Award, honoring one alumnus or alumna who has made noteworthy contributions to the engineering profession and/or the College of Engineering.

MUEAO annually sponsors a golf tournament and silent auction, their primary fundraising event. Funds generated by the golf tournament and Mizzou Alumni Association memberships allow MUEAO to lend funding support to student and alumni activities.

  • • “Casino Night” festivities at St. Pat’s Ball, the culminating event of Engineers’ Week
  • • Family Day Barbeque, a fall event for students and their parents, welcoming and introducing them to campus
  • • Engineering student organizations

“Like” MUEAO on its Facebook page to learn when the golf tournament is being held and when alumni events are scheduled.

Recent Alumni Development (RAD) board

In 2010, the MU College of Engineering launched a Recent Alumni Development (RAD) Board. The effort is intended to keep engineers who graduated within the last 10 years connected to MU and involved in the future of their alma mater.

One of the group’s early initiatives has been to fund an endowed scholarship, for which a total of $25,000 must be raised. You can contribute to the scholarship by clicking this link.

Two additional projects the board is working on include a mentor program and curriculum advice for the various departments from the perspective of those who have recently entered the workforce.

RAD meets two times each year to share information, assess the progress of their initiatives and make plans for future actions. If you would like to be considered for the RAD board, please fill out and submit the application.

Professor for a Day

During Engineers’ Week in March, alumni and business leaders are invited to become professors for a day. Participating professionals share their knowledge and real-world experiences through lectures in applicable classes. Guest and host professors will be provided a hospitality room.

Let MU Engineering know you’re available to lecture as a guest professor during the next Engineers’ Week. Already have an agreement set up with an College faculty member? Click here to provide your information.
