Describe your role and any projects you worked on.

While working for Anheuser-Busch, my project was to select a packer that would benefit from a reliability centered maintenance plan. After looking at past fault downtime data, I soon realized that one packer was not preforming to its original standards. The team and I preformed a clean and tag procedure while having two specific faults in mind, we soon realized that one of our collating guide can rails would benefit if it was smooth. We decided to switch these rails and after a month, we saw a decrease in downtime faults by 11 hours just from problem solving.

How did Mizzou Engineering prepare you for this role?

Mizzou Engineering helped me prepare for this role by having extensive classes that taught me the proper ways of sustainable manufacturing. These classes helped me understand the company and field more than I could have ever imagined!

How do you feel this internship has prepared you for your future career?

This internship really has prepared me for my future career, because I now know how a real manufacturing process is run. Seeing how your studies work in real life is truly amazing. This gives me a better understanding on how to apply my studies to real world problems.

Why did you choose Mizzou Engineering?

I chose Mizzou Engineering because of all the opportunities that Mizzou has to offer. Being able to attend career fairs and grow within clubs has been the main reason why Mizzou Engineering has been so successful in my life. The professors have also been a major factor to my success at Mizzou.

Why did you choose Industrial Engineering?

I chose Industrial Engineering because of my growing passion for manufacturing and the amazing IE role models in my life. Having professors that want you to learn and grow within your field are rare to find. I am glad I have so many in IMSE!

What are your plans for after graduation?

After graduation, I am starting full-time in January with Anheuser-Busch InBev in their Brewery Program as an Engineer or BTP.
