Mizzou Engineering’s Praveen Rao has received a 2024 Outstanding Reviewer Award from the 40^th Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) International Conference on Data Engineering (ICDE).

Rao, an associate professor of electrical engineering and computer science, leads the Scalable Data Science (SDS) Lab, where his research group focuses on big data management, data science, health informatics and cybersecurity. He also serves as the director of graduate studies for Informatics’ Ph.D. program.

The IEEE ICDE is one of the premier conferences in data and information engineering and a leading forum for researchers, practitioners, developers and users to explore cutting-edge ideas and exchange techniques, tools and experiences.
