The Mizzou College of Engineering presented Christine Pierson its highest distinction, the Missouri Honor Award for Distinguished Service.
“Christine is a dedicated supporter of the College, contributing through board positions, alumni connections, and mentoring and advocating for students,” Mizzou Engineering Dean Marisa Chrysochoou said. “She is a respected leader in engineering, recognized for her strategic contributions and vision.”
Pierson is currently the CEO of LTA Manufacturing, where she oversees all strategic and functional departments, including engineering, supply-chain and product development.
Before joining LTA, Pierson spent more than a decade in banking and financial technology, most recently serving as CEO of auto finance support leader Tresl. She was executive vice president of UMB Financial Corp. Consumer Services Division, vice president of U.S. sales for Bayer Corporation, and held several executive roles at AT&T.
Pierson offered praise and words of advice to Mizzou Engineering students. “Remain resilient and roll with the punches — and there will be punches,” she said. “And never be a carbon copy when you can be original. Put yourself out there, be your best and most of all have fun.”
Pierson holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Mizzou and is a member of the University of Missouri Engineering Hall of Fame. She is also a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council and past president of the Mizzou Letterwinners Club.
“Alumni like Christine are essential partners in our quest to create a better world through engineering,” Chrysochoou said. “This award recognizes her many outstanding contributions to the College, its mission and students.”
Pierson’s honor award was one of two presented at the 2025 Mizzou Engineering Awards Banquet March 14, the other going to Missouri Department of Transportation Director Ed Hassinger.
