Seven inducted into Industrial and Systems Engineering Hall of Fame

In addition, four individuals received 2025 ISE Achievement Awards during a Nov. 6 ceremony at Mizzou Engineering.

Seven Mizzou Engineering alumni were inducted into the Industrial and Systems Engineering Hall of Fame on Nov. 6.

The Hall of Fame recognizes exceptional individuals who exemplify the highest standards of industrial engineering professionalism.

“We take immense pride in the remarkable achievements of these alumni and the lasting contributions they’ve made to both industry and society,” said James Noble, chair of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering. “Their achievements serve as an inspiring example for our students, illustrating the wide array of opportunities and possibilities that industrial engineering offers.”

2025 ISE Hall of Fame Inductees

Sara Benton, BS IMSE ’05, has built a dynamic career. Currently Global Director of Continuous Improvement at Modine Manufacturing, she has led initiatives that improved efficiency, reduced waste, and fostered a culture of continuous improvement.

Larry Deutsch, BS IE ’66,grew his immigrant father’s small machine shop into DEMA, one of the Midwest’s leading industrial rigging companies. He also applied his engineering expertise to help his family expand into real estate ventures.

Beth Garza, BS IE ’82, is a leader in electricity market design and oversight who translates complex concepts into actionable insight. She is an independent consultant to the electric utility industry and a Senior Fellow with the think tank R Street Institute.

Morgan Reynolds, BS IE ’02, is a strategic leader who consistently drives growth, operational excellence, and innovation. She is currently Vice President of Product and Enterprise delivery at pet insurance provider Companion Protect.

Jon Sarrazin, BS IE ’08, is a proven business leader whose career reflects both global experience and deep operational expertise. He is currently President of Quest Liner and Foodliner Mexico for the McCoy Group transportation company.

Michael Unger, BS IE ’07, has built a career applying an engineer’s discipline to solve complex financial and regulatory challenges. He is currently Vice President and Unclaimed Property Practice Leader at business services provider Kodiak Solutions.

Kevin J. Watson, BS IE ’90,has built a distinguished career defined by innovation, operational excellence and commitment to advancing U.S. defense manufacturing. He is Vice President of Special Projects at Olin Winchester.

The department also recognized four individuals with Achievement Awards.

  • Outstanding Faculty Award: Suchi Rajendran, Associate Professor
  • Outstanding GTA Award: Arghadeep Mitra, Industrial Engineering PhD Candidate
  • Outstanding Instructor/Staff Award: Mike Klote, Associate Teaching Professor
  • Outstanding Jr. Career Award: Michael Huber, CEO of Huber & Associates
