The University of Missouri’s Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) traveled to Boulder, Colorado, to compete in the University of Colorado’s annual NROTC Drill Meet.

The Tiger Battalion participated in all six events: rifle and pistol shooting, the Iron Freshman challenge, the knowledge bowl, color guard, squad-level drill, and a 20-mile endurance race.

The teams spent months preparing for the competition with a rigorous schedule of early mornings and late evenings.

That dedication paid dividends with the Tiger Battalion representing Mizzou well with multiple top finishes, including first place in Color Guard and third place in both Drill and Shooting.

Additionally, Midshipman Elias Bayless, a mechanical engineering major, earned the Top Shooter Trophy for Pistol. Midshipman Grace Ousley (economics) tied for first place as the Unit Leader in Drill.

Overall, the Tiger Battalion exemplified the discipline and competitive spirit that defines every Mizzou Midshipman who proudly represents the University of Missouri.
