Engineering Scholarships
Mizzou Engineering offers over 240 scholarships to students based on merit, need and special characteristics (ethnicity, place of residence, intended major, etc.). All students, including incoming freshmen, transfers and current students, must apply for engineering scholarships through the University of Missouri’s ScholarshipUniverse application.

The University also awards scholarships based on financial need. To be eligible for these scholarships, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the Jan. 7 priority deadline.

How to Apply for or Renew Scholarships
Applying for or renewing scholarships is easy. Just visit ScholarshipUniverse and apply for as many scholarships as you want at one time.
You can apply for scholarships based on a variety of criteria including merit, need and special characteristics. There are a lot of categories, so don’t assume you won’t qualify!
Scholarship application deadline:
- January 7, 2023
Renewable and departmental scholarship requirements:
- Complete the MU Financial Aid General Scholarship Application through ScholarshipUniverse
- Be a sophomore, junior or senior
- Maintain a minimum MU cumulative 3.5 GPA
- Take at least one math and one three-credit science or engineering course a semester. If math requirements have been met, students must take two science or engineering courses per semester.
Awards are annual, with half of the funding available for the fall semester and half available for spring semester. Students must submit an application each year.
Application Instructions:
- Visit ScholarshipUniverse on the MU Financial Aid site and login using your MU assigned username and password
- Verify “College of Engineering” is listed as your academic unit
- Answer questions to be matched with scholarships
- Look through matched scholarships and hit “APPLY”
- Verify your scholarship matches
- Review your application and hit “SUBMIT”
- Contact MU Financial Aid with any questions
