What is it?

Electrical engineering is the study of applications of electricity, electronics and electromagnetic fields. Electrical engineers design, develop, test and oversee the manufacturing of equipment such as electric motors, navigation systems, power generation equipment and communication systems, as well as the electrical systems that control devices.
