Biography
Dan Bumblauskas is an executive director, associate dean, former chair and professor at Missouri Western State University in. St. Joseph, Missouri. He previously was the MBA coordinator (faculty director) and a tenured associate professor of management at the University of Northern Iowa and was an assistant teaching professor of management at the University of Missouri. Bumblauskas conducts research, teaches courses and consults on topics such as operations and supply chain management, service industry operations, six sigma, etc. Dan is also vice president of PFC Services, Inc. As a consultant, Dan works with businesses in various industries to develop new business and improve operational efficiency. Dan was formerly with ABB Inc. as a group North American account and marketing manager for the Power Products (PP) Division Transformer Business Unit. In this role, Dan was specifically responsible for commercial operations with a large OEM customers and managed teams at three domestic manufacturing facilities. Prior to this position, Dan was a regional manager with ABB Inc. High Voltage PP located in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania. Responsibilities in this position included marketing and customer training on high voltage circuit breaker parts and services for the power generation, transmission and distribution markets. Dan also held a field sales account management position in New England based out of Boston. Prior to joining ABB, Dan worked for Sears Holdings Corporation’s sears.com webcenter in West Des Moines, Iowa as a communications and product specialist. In this role ,he was responsible for providing technical assistance on products and information systems to Sears’ associates and customers located throughout North America. He particularly focused on information sharing processes and data mining for the sears.com Knowledge Base. Dan is a distinguished graduate of Iowa State University (ISU) where he has been conferred BS, MS and PhD degrees. Dan’s doctoral work was completed in the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering at ISU. Dan also completed a master’s degree program in general management at Harvard University.
