Biography

Deniz Emre joined the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department at the University of Missouri in Fall 2025 as an assistant teaching professor. Her PhD research centered on optimization and network-based models for decision-making in large-scale systems, with applications to societal challenges. Earlier, during her MS studies, she developed algorithms for bi-objective mixed-integer programming problems.

Emre’s research focuses on operations research, network optimization and predictive analytics, with applications in large-scale planning and decision-making.
