Biography
Gary McKenzie, an adjunct instructor in the EECS Department, received a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Missouri with the thesis “Data Analytics in Sports: Improving the Accuracy of NFL Draft Selection Using Supervised Learning.” Currently, he is employed with Cerner & the MU Tiger institute working as an interface architect and leading his team’s efforts to convert the hospital’s registration system. McKenzie teaches Computer Science Capstone I & II and loves preparing students for the real world through teaching best development practices and sharing real life experiences. He strives to foster creativity in his students, and pushes teams to be fearless and put forth their best work.
