Biography

Scottie Murrell is an assistant teaching professor in the Department of Engineering and Information Technology. Murrell’s focus is on Computer programming and Computer Systems design. His research is in the field of Extended Reality and how it applies to the field of education. His previous work as a adjunct instructor for virtual reality and networking was also at the University of Missouri where he obtained his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees. Murrell was also the recipient of the Outstanding Senior Award in Information Technology and a co-founder of the University of Missouri Virtual Reality Organization. He worked as a program logic controller programmer and built analog circuit I/O systems to integrate with robotic controllers.
