Four Mizzou Engineers were recognized with the Academic Award for Distinction from the University of Missouri. Campus leaders presented the award to a total of 15 recipients across Mizzou at a small ceremony this past weekend.
The Award for Academic Distinction is one of the highest honors MU offers based solely on academic achievement.
Recipients from Mizzou Engineering include:
- Mollie Harrison, a senior from Kirkwood, Missouri, studying chemical engineering.
- James Kim, a senior from St. Louis, studying biomedical engineering.
- Brandon Lee, a senior from Kearney, Missouri, who is double majoring in chemical engineering and physics.
- Rebecca Shyu, a junior from Columbia studying computer science.
The Award for Academic Distinction recognizes undergraduate students who go above and beyond expectations to contribute to the academic atmosphere at the University of Missouri. Recipients, through their academic efforts, have improved the intellectual and academic culture Mizzou and motivated other students with high potential to do the same.
The award program is a collaboration between the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies, Honors College and Fellowships & Advanced Studies.
