More than 600 representatives from 238 companies brought internship and career opportunities to nearly 1,450 students at the Fall Mizzou Engineering Career Fair.
“We host the career fair each year to help students find internships, co-ops and jobs for after graduation, so this turnout is exactly what we hope for our students,” Anh Nguyen, career services coordinator, said. “We love seeing so many students taking the opportunity to network with employers and we love hearing about their career fair experiences after they attend. Thank you to our sponsors and the companies, recruiters, professional engineers and alumni who came to the fair to talk with our students.”
This fall, the career fair was held at the Mizzou Arena to accommodate the high demand of employers looking to recruit Mizzou engineers for positions at their companies. Booths lined the concourse and students circled the arena networking with professionals and other students.
“Employers had a lot of great things to say about our students after speaking with them at the fair and events leading up to it,” Emily Bozich, assistant director of career services, said. “Tabling meet and greets, resume reviews, mock interviews and the Student Organization Showcase give company representatives a less formal environment to connect with students and learn more about how their Mizzou Engineering education is preparing them for their careers.”
