Biography
Bin Wu is a teaching professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Missouri, and director of the Missouri Industrial Assessment Center. Wu is an internationally recognized expert in the design and management of manufacturing and supply systems, and he has written a number of books on the subject that have been adopted as standard undergraduate and postgraduate texts worldwide. He is the recipient of numerous awards and established the International Journal of Manufacturing System Design, acting as its editor in chief since 1996. His research has been funded by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, the Kauffman Foundation, the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Energy. Wu is a Royal Chartered Engineer (CEng, U.K.).
