Luis G. Occeña is an associate professor in the Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering Department at the University of Missouri. His current research is on Industry 4.0 and its applications to a variety of enterprises, and the development of smart tools and digital twins to help increase productivity, safety and quality. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the Department of Education, the Kauffman Foundation and corporate sponsors.
