How to Join NROTC at the University of Missouri
Looking to obtain a NROTC National Scholarship? Here’s what you need to know:
High School Students
If you are a high school student looking to apply for an NROTC National Scholarship, you should contact your local Navy recruiter for more information on how to submit an application. More information can also be found at www.nrotc.navy.mil.
If you are in the process of completing your NROTC National Scholarship application and want to conduct an Officer Interview with an active duty staff member at Mizzou NROTC, contact the Recruiting Officer, Capt. LaLonde, at 573-882-6653 to set up an officer interview.
Didn’t receive an NROTC Scholarship?
Eligible high school students who did not receive or apply for an NROTC National Scholarship and college students with more than 2 years of college remaining can apply to be a College Program option at Mizzou NROTC.
College program options are students who participate in all NROTC unit activities but did not receive a National Scholarship. College Program options have the opportunity to apply for two- and three-year NROTC scholarships based on the candidate’s actual performance in the program.
It is critical that College program options perform well (academically and militarily) during their first two years to be competitive for a scholarship.
Current College Students
If you have fewer than two years of college remaining, you are not eligible for the NROTC program and should contact your local Navy Recruiter for details about Officer’s Candidate School (OCS).
If you will be a Mizzou freshman or sophomore and you are interested in being a part of the NROTC unit, contact the Recruiting Officer, Capt. LaLonde, by calling 573-882-6653.
